As part of its development strategy, the Central Bank of Malta invites, on an ongoing basis, individuals with strong academic and professional qualifications who are interested in seeking employment with the Bank to register such interest. The qualifications sought by the Bank are degrees from reputable universities in the areas of Economics, Econometrics, Banking and Finance, Statistics, ICT and related disciplines. Applicants who are interested in a career at the Central Bank of Malta are thus invited to send a detailed CV by email indicating their areas of expertise and their career interests.

    The Central Bank of Malta is inviting applications to fill the position of Principal Research Economist – Financial Stability Surveillance and Research Department. To contribute to research on issues relevant to the Bank within the area of financial stability and the macro-prudential framework. This includes the development of new modelling techniques and the construction and maintenance of models for empirical analysis of financial stability risks and the channels of transmission of such risks.

    The Central Bank of Malta is inviting applications to fill the position of Chief Officer Financial Control and Risk. The role of Chief Officer: Financial Control and Risk is focused on two critical functions at the Bank: (i) Financial Control and (ii) Risk Management. More specifically, these roles entail full responsibility and oversight of the Finance Department encompassing the Bank’s accounting and financial reporting function, and the Risk Management Department encompassing operational and financial risk management.
