Training opportunities

The Training and Development Programme helps employees build a set of skills required to work at a professional level.

The Development Programme has three levels, namely the Fundamental, Intermediate and Advanced level.

The Fundamental level targets junior officers while the Intermediate level caters for senior officers and junior executives. The Advanced level is earmarked for Managers and Heads of Department.

Training courses are facilitated by senior bank staff or outsourced to local or foreign training organisations, if internal expertise in not available. At the end of each programme module, trainees are required to submit an assignment.

When a training need cannot be satisfied in-house, adequate courses are sought amongst organisations specialising in the particular field locally or overseas.
