Investment Funds
This section comprises balance sheet statistics of investment funds licensed in Malta. Investment funds pool capital from investors to acquire diversified portfolios of assets, such as equities, bonds and property. Thus they enable investors to pursue capital growth and to diversify risk across a range of investments.
The compilation of such statistics mainly follow the norms within the European Central Bank (ECB)'s regulation concerning statistics on investment funds (ECB/2024/17). This regulation aims to enhance the transparency and consistency of statistical reporting by investment funds within the euro area.
