Central Bank Deputy Governor Rita Schembri participates in Awards Ceremony for Best Accountancy Dissertation at Master’s level

Central Bank of Malta Deputy Governor Rita Schembri participated in the presentation ceremony of the Master's in Accountancy Awards held at the University of Malta, Aula Magna, Valletta Campus on Wednesday, 25 March 2025.

On the occasion, Ms Schembri presented the prize and certificate for "One of the Best Dissertations of the Year" award for 2025 to Ms Mariah Azzopardi for her dissertation entitled "The Impact of IFRS 15 on Maltese Telecommunication Companies", and to Ms Michaela Magro for her dissertation entitled "Investigating Earnings Management within Listed Companies in Malta".

The Central Bank of Malta currently also has an agreement with the University of Malta and the University Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT), providing for support in post-graduate studies and in academic excellence within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA) at the University of Malta and for collaboration in the field of research in economics, banking, finance and public policy.
