CBM Sponsors ‘Titles to Talkies’ Showcasing Malta’s Audiovisual Heritage

The Central Bank of Malta attended the launch of Titles to Talkies, a new publication by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti exploring the history of film and cinema in Malta. The Bank supported the publication following a recommendation of the Advisory Board of the CBM Fund, its corporate social responsibility arm.

Titles to Talkies is a researched narrative documenting the development of Malta's film and cinema history, combining archival material, photography, and critical commentary to highlight the evolution of local film culture and its significance within Malta's wider cultural heritage.

The launch at Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta brought together contributors and representatives from Malta's cultural and heritage sectors, where the Bank was acknowledged as the main sponsor of the publication.

The Central Bank congratulates Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, the author of the publication Charlie Cauchi, and Giulia Privitelli, Senior Editor at Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, and all those involved in bringing Titles to Talkies to fruition. The Bank remains committed to supporting projects of national cultural value that contribute to the preservation and promotion of Malta's heritage.
