This was the conclusion by Governor Professor Edward Scicluna when participating on the discussion panel on 'Insights', a current affairs programme on Television Malta moderated by journalist Glen Falzon broadcasted on 11 May 2023. The panel was also composed of Dr Gordon Cordina, Chairman of Bank of Valletta plc, and Mr Karol Gabarretta, Secretary General of the Malta Bankers' Association. The discussion, among other topics, focused on the impact of the pandemic and war on the banking sector, grey listing and the impact of the recent ECB interest rates increase.
