Consultation on the potential inclusion of relevant credit institutions with passporting rights in the Central Bank of Malta’s Central Credit Register
On 2 November 2026, the Central Bank of Malta launched a 
consultation seeking feedback from interested parties on the possibility of including credit institutions with passporting rights to exercise the freedom to provide services (CIFoS), within the Central Credit Register's (CCR or the 'Register') legislative framework.
The Central Bank of Malta invites interested parties to submit their feedback by email by not later than 2 December 2026 (c.o.b).
