Central Bank Governor hosts courtesy visit by French Diplomatic delegation

The Governor of the Central Bank welcomed H.E. Mrs Sandrine Lelong-Motta, Ambassador of France to Malta, on a courtesy visit at the Bank's premises. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms May Gicquel, Minister-Counsellor for Economic Affairs and Head of the Regional Economic Section for Italy and Malta, and Ms Aude Viala, Economic Attaché.

The meeting provided an opportunity for a constructive exchange on the prevailing economic and financial landscape in Malta. Discussions focused mainly on recent macroeconomic developments, financial sector trends, and the broader outlook for the Maltese economy.

Both sides highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation on economic and financial matters of mutual interest, particularly within the broader European and international context.

The Central Bank reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strong engagement with international partners, including diplomatic and economic representatives, in support of informed policy discussions and knowledge exchange.
