Pink and blue to raise awareness: Central Bank of Malta supports Pink October and Movember
In a vibrant display of solidarity and awareness, the Central Bank of Malta has once again demonstrated its commitment to societal causes. This time, it's all about Pink October and Movember. The Bank, through its Cultural Activities sub-Committee, has joined hands with various organisations and individuals to raise funds and awareness for these significant campaigns.
On the 27th of October, the Bank's premises were awash with a 'touch of pink'. Staff members were encouraged to participate in this colourful initiative, not just as a fashion statement, but as a beacon of support for the Hospice Foundation. The morning was made even more special as staff members were greeted with pink treats upon their arrival, further bolstering the spirit of Pink October.

But it wasn't all just about wearing pink. The Bank took a step further by hosting an awareness lecture delivered by Ms Marika Fleri, an esteemed clinical aromatherapist and complementary therapist, who specialises in cancer care and the treatment of individuals with life-limiting illnesses. Her expertise in oncology and palliative care has been acknowledged, and she has been appointed by the President of Malta as the Coordinator of the National Cancer Platform.

The Central Bank of Malta's involvement in Pink October and Movember is a testament to its dedication towards social responsibility. It's not just about banking; it's about making a difference in the community. And in this case, every 'touch of pink' counts!
