Central Bank of Malta Donates La Vallette Bronze Medal Collector’s Edition Set to Dar tal-Providenza

As part of its wide-ranging corporate social responsibility commitment, the Central Bank of Malta has donated a total of 2408 Collector's Edition La Vallette Bronze Medal Sets to Id-Dar tal-Providenza. Each set includes a bronze medal together with an informative DVD with high-quality videos featuring the Maltese Islands, its history and culture.

The bronze medal was designed by Luc Luycx and struck by the Royal Belgian Mint which features the portrait of Grandmaster Jean de La Valette. On the reverse, one finds the façade of St. John's Co-Cathedral.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Malta, Professor Edward Scicluna, presented this donation to Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza during an official presentation held at the Bank on 24 May 2022. The medals will be used by Dar tal-Providenza for its fundraising activities.

Upon presentation of the donation, Governor Scicluna highlighted the Bank's commitment when it comes to social corporate responsibility. On behalf of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Fr Martin Micallef thanked the Central Bank of Malta for its continuous support and cooperation.
