Processing of customer payments
The Central Bank of Malta would like to bring to the notice of the public that on Thursday 24 February 2022 one of its systems experienced technical issues in the processing of its customer payments, including payments by the public sector to beneficiaries.
These payments have now been released and most of such payments are now expected to be delivered to beneficiaries through their servicing banks by today or the next working day at the latest for some.
The Bank regrets any inconvenience that may have been caused to the recipients of these payments.
