The funds were collected by the Central Bank staff during the Pink October/Movember activities organised by the Bank's Cultural Committee.
Ms Bonnici Kind acknowledged the generous commitment of the Bank's staff and encouraged such initiatives and activities organised by the Bank's corporate social responsibility programme.
The Bank organised various activities aimed at raising awareness and funding for cancer prevention, research, and education. A wear pink day was organised on 27 October with pink ribbons handed out to all employees upon entering the premises. In addition, a month-long No-shave November campaign was organised, wherein all male employees were invited to grow their moustache and/or beard till the end of November.
Such events were organised, not only to engage employees but also to help spread important messages about health and well-being throughout the organization and beyond. By actively involving its staff in these initiatives, the Bank fosters a sense of community and solidarity while making a meaningful contribution to important causes.
