Reappointment of Deputy Governor Oliver Bonello
The President of Malta, acting on the advice of the Cabinet of Ministers, and in accordance with the provisions of article 8(1) of the Central Bank of Malta Act (Cap. 204) has approved the appointment of Mr Oliver Bonello, FIA, CPA, as Deputy Governor for Financial Stability at the Central Bank of Malta. This appointment shall remain valid for a period of five years with effect from 1 July 2022.
Mr Oliver Bonello, FIA, CPA, was first appointed Deputy Governor for Financial Stability in 2017. Before he has held several senior managerial roles and responsibilities in different areas of the Bank including banking supervision, financial and operational risk management, statistics and financial stability. He has represented the Bank on both local and European Boards.
