In 2010 the Central Bank of Malta issued a silver and a gold numismatic coin as part of the Europa Programme 2010. The coins feature the Auberge d'Italie which is situated in Merchants Street Valletta. The Auberge houses the Malta Tourism Authority.
The obverse of the coins shows the Emblem of Malta with the year of issue 2010. The reverse depicts a detail from the façade of Auberge d’Italie, the marble-clad central element ornamented by a trophy of martial figures supporting the bronze bust of Grand Master Gregorio Carafa (1680-1690) with his coat of arms below it.
