Giulia Maria Tabone is a Senior Economist Statistician within the Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Malta. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research and a Master of Science in Statistics, both from the University of Malta.
Giulia Maria Tabone’s research interests span applied mathematics, machine learning (particularly advanced neural network architectures and tree-based methods), statistical modelling, anomaly detection, time series analysis, and functional data analysis. Her interests centre on the development and application of quantitative methods across diverse disciplines, including social sciences, finance, and natural sciences, with particular focus on psychology, economics, geosciences, and physics.
