The Implementation of the Statutory Payments Statistics Data Reporting (CBM-PSR)

The European Central Bank's Regulation (EU) 2020/2011 of 1 December 2020 amending Regulation (EU) No 1409/2013 on payments statistics (ECB/2013/43) (ECB/2020/59) defines the framework for the collection of payments statistics data from payment service providers (including electronic money issuers) and payment system operators, in line with the requirements laid out in the Regulation. The first reporting to the ECB will take place with quarterly data for January - March of 2022 and semi-annual data for January - June of 2022.

The Payments Statistics dataset will contain a) the semi-annual and quarterly data requirements laid out in ECB Regulation ECB/2020/59 and b) semi-annual non-EUR statistical data for receipts and payments transactions. The material needed to assist in the data reporting process is also available in the links below. This compiles together all the ECB reporting tables and for each table one can find the respective data dictionary, as necessary.
