Educational visit by the Malta Association of Minority Shareholders and Retail Investors to the Central Bank of Malta

The Central Bank of Malta recently hosted an educational visit for members of the Malta Association of Minority Shareholders and Retail Investors (MASS), offering participants an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Bank's history, operations, and role within the Maltese economy.

The visit commenced with a guided tour of the Bank's Currency Museum, led by Mr Kevin Cassar, Curator within the Currency Operations Office. During the tour, participants were introduced to Malta's rich monetary heritage and the evolution of currency through the years.

Following the museum visit, participants proceeded to the Bank's Binja Laparelli, where they attended a presentation on the role, functions, and responsibilities of the Central Bank of Malta. The presentation was delivered by Mr Silvio Galea, Head of the International Relations and Communications Department, and was followed by an engaging question-and-answer session.
