Acting Governor Alexander Demarco participates in the ECB Forum on Central Banking 2025

Between 30 June and 2 July 2025, the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Malta, Mr Alexander Demarco, participated in the ECB Forum on Central Banking, an annual event organised by the European Central Bank and held in Sintra, Portugal.

The theme of the 2025 Forum was "Adapting to Change: Macroeconomic Shifts and Policy Responses".

The event brought together leading figures in central banking, including senior officials, academics, economists, and selected media representatives, to discuss emerging macroeconomic challenges and the evolving policy landscape.

Mr Demarco's participation reflected the Central Bank of Malta's ongoing commitment to engaging with international counterparts on critical issues affecting monetary policy and financial stability.
