Central Bank of Malta Governor participates in ECOFIN Meeting in Ghent, Belgium
The Central Bank of Malta Governor, Professor Edward Scicluna, participated in the informal Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) meeting held in Ghent, Belgium on 22-24 February 2024.
The ECOFIN meeting, attended jointly by the EU Central Bank Governors and EU Finance Ministers, discussed the future and strategic direction of the European Investment Bank, the retail investor participation in financial markets and financial literacy, and the report on the future of EU competitiveness that is currently being prepared by Dr Mario Draghi.
The Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Governor Mr Alexander Demarco.
