Issue of joint numismatic product – Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting

The Central Bank of Malta and MaltaPost p.l.c. will be launching a joint numismatic product commemorating the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that will be held in Malta between 27 and 29 November 2015.

New €20 banknote starts circulating today

The new €20, the third in the Europa series, enters into circulation today.

EU banks better capitalised in 2015, but NPLs remain of concern

The European Banking Authority published today the outcome of its 2015 EU-wide transparency exercise and provided detailed bank-by-bank data on capital positions, risk exposure amounts and asset quality on 105 banks from 21 countries of the European Economic Area as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing transparency in the EU Banking sector.
