The Central Bank of Malta updates the Central Bank of Malta Directive No. 5 on Statistical Reporting Requirements

The Central Bank of Malta (the Bank) published today a revised version of the Central Bank of Malta Directive No. 5 on Statistical Reporting Requirements. This Directive lays down the imposition of reporting requirements in respect of statistical and other information requested by the Bank from time to time, in accordance with the powers conferred to it by the Central Bank of Malta Act (Cap.204) or when this is necessary, for the Bank to be able to carry out its functions under the Treaties, the Statute or any legal act issued thereunder. The revised Directive incorporates the duty of the Malta Development Bank to report statistical information as the Bank may require, and the duty of Retirement Funds and Retirement Schemes to report statistical information to the Bank in accordance with the reporting requirements established under Regulation (EU) 2018/231 of the European Central Bank of 26 January 2018 on statistical reporting requirements for pension funds (ECB/2018/2).
