The Central Bank of Malta hosted the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) meeting at Binja Laparelli on 16 May 2023.

The MCESD is an advisory council that issues opinions and recommendations to the Maltese Government, civil society and the public on matters of economic and social relevance. 

The Governor welcomed MCESD Chairperson Architect David Xuereb, Hon. Jonathan Attard Minister for Justice, Hon. Anton Refalo Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights and Hon. Andy Ellul Parliamentary Secretary for Social Dialogue.
