Dr Romina Cuschieri

Romina Cuschieri, LLD, was reappointed as member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Malta for a period of five years with effect from 17 December 2018, a post she already occupied during the 2013-2018 period. Dr Cuschieri is also a member of the Bank’s Internal Audit Committee. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma, Notarial Studies and a BA Degree in Legal & Humanistic Studies (International Relations).

Dr Cuschieri took up the role of Secretary to the Board of Governors at the Institute for Tourism Studies from May 2016 until December of the same year. She also served as a chairperson of the Students' Maintenance Grants’ Board at the Ministry for Education and Employment (MEDE) between November 2013 and October 2019. In September 2018, Dr Cuschieri was also appointed chief officer and head of unit of the Students’ Maintenance Grants’ & Scholarships’ Unit at the MEDE until October 2019. Dr Cuschieri was also a project leader of Reach High Post-Doctorate Scholarship between September 2018 and October 2019. Since December 2019, Dr Cuschieri is the Data Protection Officer at the University of Malta.
