Central Bank Governor Professor Edward Scicluna welcomed Dame Diana Buchanan Crossan at his office. Dame Crossan served as New Zealand’s Retirement Commissioner between 2003 and 2013. In her role as Commissioner, her key focus was lifting the financial knowledge of New Zealanders. In the 2019, Crossan was appointed a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to the State. During the meeting, the important theme of financial literacy was discussed in particular the various Central Bank’s initiatives in this aspect.
