The Governor of the Central Bank of Malta Edward Scicluna (far left) joined his Governing Council counterparts in the Taunus region in Germany, for the annual retreat of the European Central Bank held on 18-20 June 2021. This was the first in-person meeting of the members of the Governing Council since March 2020.

The retreat focused on advancing the discussions about the ECB's monetary policy strategy review, which has - since then - been approved.
