The Governor of the Central Bank of Malta, Professor Edward Scicluna, was paid a courtesy visit by H.E. Yassine El Oued, Tunisian Ambassador to Malta, on Thursday, 12 August 2021.

Accompanying His Excellency was his First secretary at the Tunisian Embassy, Mr Mohamed Wael Khammassi.

The meeting took place at the Governor’s Office.  Also present at the meeting were the Manager of the International Relations Department, Dr Kalina Koleva, and Mr Ahmed Hnesh, Research Officer at the International Relations Department.

The meeting discussed the relationship between the two countries and possible new cooperation opportunities. Professor Scicluna stated: “Malta and Tunisia are close neighbours and close friends, and friends prove themselves to one another when in need.”
