'VALLETTA
CITY' Acquired by Pace Brothers in 1947, this was the
largest ship on the Maltese Register immediately after the war,
with 5501 gross tons. It was employed on world-wide tramp routes,
and it is of interest that when it called in a Canadian port
to onload grain, the Canadian press hailed the visit as the
largest Maltese ship ever to visit the country.
