The
Central Bank of Malta collaborates with local authorities and
institutions on various matters of common interest, particularly
where such collaboration is envisaged to contribute to financial
sector stability, the smooth operation of payments and securities
settlement systems and the collection of statistical and other
information.
In this context, the Bank has
already entered into agreements with the Malta
Financial Services Authority concerning the exchange
of information and another concerning payments
and securities settlement systems.
The Bank has also entered into an agreement
with the National
Statistics Office on the
compilation and collection of statistics. |
