The Central Bank of Malta has issued the Euro Coin Set 2011. This set incorporates the eight Maltese euro coins, designed by Noel Galea Bason and a €2 commemorative coin bearing the inscription ‘First Elected Representatives – 1849’. The latter coin was designed by Ġanni Bonnici and is the first in a series of five €2 commemorative coins commemorating Malta’s constitutional history.

The set, which is packed in a distinctive box, also includes a replica coin of the Punic period, the original of which is currently held in the Bank’s Currency Museum collection.

The set can be purchased at the price of €35 including VAT from the Malta Coins Distribution Centre at the main building of the Central Bank of Malta or by completing the order form below.
