The Central Bank of Malta issued a new numismatic
coin as part of the Europa Programme 2009. This coin is available
in gold and silver versions and features the Castellania building
which is situated in Merchants Street Valletta. This building
used to serve as the Law Courts during the time of the Portuguese
Grand Masters and today houses the Parliamentary Secretariat
for Health in the Ministry for Social Policy.
The coins can be purchased in a luxury wooden case at the
following prices:
Silver €38 (including VAT)
Gold €200 (including VAT)
The coins are available for sale from the
Malta Coin Distribution Centre counter at the main building
of the Central Bank of Malta or by completing the order form
below.
