In 2009, the Central Bank
of Malta issued a new numismatic coin as part of the Europa
Programme
2009. This silver coin features the Castellania building
which is situated in Merchants
Street Valletta. This building used to serve as the Law Courts
during the time of the Portuguese Grand Masters and today houses
the Parliamentary Secretariat for Health in the Ministry for
Social Policy.
