| Antoinette Caruana was appointed
as Director of the Central Bank of Malta for a period of five
years with effect from 14 April 2008. Ms Caruana holds an MSc
(HRM & Trg) from the University of Leicester and a BA (Hons)
degree in business management from the University of Malta.
Ms Caruana also holds a certificate in banking from the University
of Malta.
Ms Caruana is currently Company Secretary of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc and is a member of the Group Executive Board of the Farsons Group, occupying the post of Group Human Resources Manager. She previously formed part of the executive management team of Lufthansa Technik Malta. Ms Caruana occupied the posts of Chief Executive Officer at Heritage Malta and General Manager – Human Resources Brandstätter Group. She is a trustee of the Richmond Foundation and her other interests include involvement at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Enterprise. Ms Caruana has also sat on various boards and committees mainly relating to human resources and tutored at the University of Malta. She serves as Employers' Representative on the Industrial Tribunal.
