Ms Antoinette Caruana - Profile

Antoinette Caruana was appointed as Director of the Central Bank of Malta for a period of five years with effect from 14 April 2008. Ms Caruana holds an MSc (HRM & Trg) from the University of Leicester and a BA (Hons) degree in business management from the University of Malta. Ms Caruana also holds a certificate in banking from the University of Malta.

Ms Caruana is currently a member of the Group Executive Board of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, having previously formed part of the executive management team of Lufthansa Technik Malta. Ms Caruana previously occupied the posts of Chief Executive Officer at Heritage Malta and General Manager – Human Resources Brandstätter Group. Ms Caruana has also sat on various boards and committees mainly relating to human resources, and is currently also a tutor at the University of Malta.
